Your Four Seasons Retreat

Spring – March, April, May:

Spring time activities, like the year will vary with whatever mother nature dishes out.

Typically, March and a good part of April are great times for skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Steal head can be found in the Betsie and Manistee Rivers, while perch and smelt are popular on Crystal Lake.

The Morel Mushrooms will start popping up in the forests, with the coming of spring rains and warm weather. The nearby village of Mesick hosts an annual Mushroom Festival this time of year and Beulah residents have celebrated May Day.

Memorial Weekend is the kick off for the summer season.

Summer – June, July, August:

The sunshine and warmth of the summer season gives residents and tourists the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of activities and events.

Arts and Crafts shows, Parades, Festivals, Music Events are just a sample of the things you will be able to do. Sightseeing in this area is fun and interesting, the vacation homes are exquisite and the village shops offer plenty of shopping for the most unique items we all love to “find”. Access to boating, fishing and swimming are within easy reach from the village beach.

Fall – September, October, November:

Cool nights, migrating wild fowl and colorful trees mark the season of fall in Beulah. Spend the day shopping, hunting, color touring or kayaking and then unwind in the evening at one of the restaurants in the village.

The fall months are jam-packed with events focused on pumpkins, fall foliage, harvest festivals, football and Michigan’s seasonal bounty. The Village of Beulah has its annual Fall Fest in October. Activities include a Timber Art presentation, soup contest, farm market, cider press, petting zoo, pumpkin carving and safety presentation. Call 800-882-5801 for information.

Winter – December, January, February:

Winter brings piles of snow, blustery winds and frigid temperatures. Some folks stay indoors and put their feet up by the fire, play board games, read a good book or chat with their family and friends. Brave souls spend time outside ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, snow shoeing or shopping.

Beulah puts out the white winter carpet with Christmas Magic in December and Winterfest in February. Winterfest is a local celebration of winter with fireworks, a parade, a chili cook off, games on the ice and an ice-fishing contest. Winterfest is an annual event that occurs the second Saturday in February.

Plan to do some ice-fishing on Crystal Lake during Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend in February every year. No License Required!!!
